Not super important because it's not a difficult fight but updates are updates.
Back in the old days we were always fighting dragons. There's always room for more dragons.
On Thursday we came in and killed... er, saved a dragon! We tried it on tuesday but didn't grasp the prime importance of the healing buff. Today we weren't retarded and downed... er, saved us another boss. Looked at Sindragosa, hopefully we'll get her on Monday.
I forgot to get a picture but Confessor got one... of like 10 of us. EDIT: There we go, looks like a 10 man kill.

First kill loot:
Robe of the Waking Nightmare->Luxferra (lol offspec).
Snowstorm Helm->Emilio
Frostbrood Sapphire Ring->Khamii

We've fought back the crimson flow! The red tide is defeated! The sanguine ... okay I'll stop.
This is probably the most sub 10% wipes we've ever had on a boss without a kill. That's the way the fight works, but still... Last week we met Blood Queen Lana'thiel. We hammered out a sequence but couldn't put together the execution to get below 10%. This week we hit her again, and had a disappointing 1% wipe on Tuesday. We went back on Thursday and after a few tries it all came together for a perfect kill.

^ripping off Ekera
First kill loot:
Dying Light->Thaine
Marks->Shi & Eradris
We're caught up again after dragging ass on Putricide. Bring on Frostwing Lair.

| ICC Week 7 |

Week seven was the release of the Blood wing of Icecrown. And what do new wings mean? That's right, horrible lag on Tuesday. We gave up on Festergut after getting crippling lag killed our dps several times in a row.
Thursday we came back in, finished him off and went to the new wing. The whole wing feels like a throwback to Illidari council. The Princes, the trash, all feel familiar. I was amused that we joked about the council using the Kael Thas "Blah blah was only a setback!" only to find that they actually did say that, proving that Blizz really does know their playerbase well.

Blood Princes wasn't that bad. I welcome any opportunity to kill more elves. And I liked the fight a lot more than Illidari Council which was always a low point in our BT raids. They died and we went back to Putricide.
First loots
Shoulders of Frost-Tipped Thorns -> Ehala
Horrific Flesh Epaulets -> Bovii
Keleseth's Seducer -> Eradris

So far we had sucked at the fight. This time we tried a new position (which is a running theme with our problem fights, wipe->wipe->wipe->MOVE 10 YDs->win) and it worked beautifully. So we finally finished the plague wing and still have most of our attempts left to try Blood Queen on Sunday.
Best First loots possible
Tiny Abomination in a Jar -> Lethargy
Marks -> Lichie and Eradris
Sunday: So very close on BQ. Fuck limited attempts.

New shit is fun.
ICC Week 5. Still normal modes only, so they're barely worth mentioning. Plagueworks trash was a wake up call. It was harder than the usual snorefest and more interesting than the "just AoE everything" trash so far in the rest of the instance. Precious & Stinky got quite a bit of love from our raid. I think Putricide should drop a Precious & Stinky non-combat pet.
Anyway, we did Rotface first because it sounded easier. And it was pretty simple. We got fairly close to killing him on our first try, yet we ended up screwing up little things at the end many times, drawing out our attempts. With a little practice it went down.

First Loot
Blightborne Warplate - Munch (which I'll rarely use, oh well).
Winding Sheet - Maliix
Bloodsunder's Bracers - Chal
Next it was Festergut time. First pull was pretty much loltanksplat. Second one we figured out spores and prepared for tank damage, down it went. Easycakes.

First Loots
Lingering Illness - Luxferra
Distant Land - Avonaco
Nerub'ar Stalker's Cord - Blindian
We called it there because it was getting late and we figured it would be much better to hit Putricide in 10 mans first so we know what we're doing for our 10 attempts.
ALSO
With good information, we were able to ensure that our Shadowmourne recipient could finish his first quest. Grats to Gobi on Shadow's Edge.

A week late, par for the course. Here's our opening ICC newspost.
ICC opened last week after great anticipation and longing to be rid of the worst raid instance Blizzard has ever done, ToGC. Sadly, Death's Choice and other good 258 drops will keep us running this for a while. Plus it would be nice to finish the instance.
ToGC has been one of those raids. You know the ones. The ones where it feels like fate is against you, and every step forward brings you two steps back. Not since the guild grinder that was Sunwell have we had as many setbacks. And ToGC itself bears much of the blame. I could go on for another seven paragraphs about how much that instance resembled dog leavings, but that's not the purpose of this post.
So last week we were finally able to step our eager feet inside the gates of Icecrown. I could hardly believe how much I missed raid trash.
There's not much to write about the instance so far. It's been a good change of pace and the fights are all fun so far but it has yet to pose any challenge on normal. The first wing went down with little effort on opening day. Sorry no pictures atm, there's not much point until Arthas and Hard modes open.
So that's my brief news post. Stay tuned for more ICC fun in another 3 weeks when they open wing #2.
